You spend hours on wash day, styling, diffusing, straightening, refreshing or protecting your hair, then undo that effort with the one layer you throw on without thinking: your hoodie.

Your silk pillowcase protects your hair at night. But your hair touches far more than your pillowcase. The hood, the couch, the car seat, the headrest, the chair behind you, the wind on the walk in. Small moments of rough contact that can add up to frizz, flattening and tangles by the time you arrive.

Ordinary hood linings can rub against curls, waves, blowouts, braids, locs and hairlines. zwilky changes the contact point by lining the inside of the hood with smooth mulberry silk, giving your hair a smoother surface for the real-life friction your pillowcase cannot reach.

The outside gives you the structure, warmth and premium feel of an elevated hoodie. The inside gives your hair a smoother silk contact surface where ordinary hoodies are usually rough.

Treat it like the premium piece it is, and it will last. The hood is lined with real 6A grade mulberry silk (22 momme) exactly where it sits against your hair, wrapped in a heavyweight 460GSM brushed organic cotton body. Two fibres, one simple rule: be gentle with the silk and the whole hoodie rewards you for years.

  • Hand wash cold, or machine wash on a delicate cycle at 30°C
  • Turn the garment inside out before washing
  • Use a mild, silk-safe detergent only
  • Do not bleach
  • Do not tumble dry. Reshape and lay flat to dry
  • Do not wring
  • Cool iron on reverse, cotton side only
  • Never iron the embroidery or the silk lining directly
  • Professional dry cleaning is recommended for a deeper refresh
  • Handle with care. This is a premium garment, made to be kept

Designed in Sydney by zwilky, an Australian brand. Every piece is finished to last for years, not seasons.

Note: hair products, oils and skincare can transfer onto silk over time. This is completely normal for a natural fibre and is easily managed with the care above. The silk is simply doing its job, sitting soft against your hair and skin, so a little mindful washing keeps it at its best.

Orders are dispatched from Sydney within 1 to 2 business days and sent with tracking via Australia Post. Estimated delivery once shipped:

  • Sydney metro: 1 to 3 business days
  • Other Australian capital cities and metro areas: 2 to 6 business days
  • Regional and remote areas: please allow up to 10 business days

You will receive tracking by email as soon as your order is on its way. Delivery times are AusPost estimates and can vary during peak periods or due to factors outside our control.

Returns are accepted within 14 days of receiving your order. To be eligible, the hoodie must be unworn, unwashed, with tags attached, in its original packaging, and accompanied by proof of purchase.

To start a return, email support@zwilky.com before sending anything back. Items returned without an approved request cannot be accepted. Return shipping is the customer's responsibility unless the item is faulty or incorrect.

If your order arrives damaged, faulty, or incorrect, contact us as soon as possible, ideally within 48 hours of delivery, and we will make it right with a replacement or refund.

We do not offer direct exchanges. The fastest way to switch size or style is to return the original item once approved and place a new order. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method, typically within 10 business days of us receiving and inspecting your return.

FAQ

Is the silk real?

Yes. The hood is lined with certified 100% mulberry silk, graded 6A at 22 momme. The same quality standard used in the most premium silk pillowcases and hair wraps. Not polyester satin. Not a "silky-feel" synthetic. Real silk.
Is it satin or silk?

Silk. Satin describes a type of weave. It can be made from polyester, which is a synthetic fabric. zwilky uses mulberry silk. The difference matters: real silk has a natural protein fibre structure that creates a genuinely smooth contact surface. Polyester satin is smoother than fleece, but it is not silk.
Will it fit my hair? curls, braids, locs?

The hood is designed with real hair volume in mind. If you wear a bonnet over your hair, the zwilky hood is built to accommodate natural hair, protective styles, and voluminous curls.
Can I wash it?

Yes. zwilky is designed to be practical to own, not fragile. See the Care Guide for full wash instructions. The silk lining can be cared for at home, no dry cleaning required for routine washing.
Is it only for curly hair?

No. Those with curly, coily, wavy, and textured hair generally feel the rough-hood problem more but if you have a blowout, a silk press, braids, locs, fine hair that is prone to breakage, or simply want a softer contact surface where the hood sits against your face and hairline, zwilky is relevant. It is for anyone whose hair is worth protecting.
What about skin? Is it better for the skin around my face?

The silk lining sits against your hairline, cheeks, jaw, and the sides of your face when the hood is up. That means a softer contact surface where an ordinary fleece hood would rub. The silk around the face is noticeably softer than standard hood fabric.
How is it different from wearing a bonnet under my hoodie?

zwilky builds the protective logic into the hoodie you are already wearing, so there is no separate layer to manage, carry, or plan around. The protection is just there, built into the thing you reach for every day.
Will the silk lining affect how warm it is?

No. The warmth comes from the outer layer, 460 GSM brushed organic cotton fleece. The silk lining inside the hood is smooth and temperature-neutral rather than insulating, but it does not reduce the warmth of the outer. You get the full weight and coverage of a premium heavyweight hoodie.
