Haircare had evolved. Hoodies had not.
You upgraded your pillowcase, your products, your whole routine. The one thing touching your hair for hours a day stayed exactly the same. zwilky exists to close that gap.
Meet the silk-lined hoodie
Hi, I'm Duane, the founder of zwilky.
I have 3A curly hair, so I know a version of this frustration personally.
I know what it feels like to put effort into your curls, to style them, protect them, get them looking right, and then put on a hoodie, lean back in a car, walk through the cold, and feel the shape start to disappear.
The volume goes. The definition fades. The freshness you had when you left the mirror is already gone by the time you arrive somewhere.
If you have ever avoided putting your hood up because your hair finally looked right, you already understand why zwilky exists.
Then I realised my version was the small version.
The more I paid attention, to my mum, to friends, to women around me, to creators, reviews, and the wider haircare conversation, the more I understood that I was only feeling the edge of something much bigger.
Women put real time, money, and emotion into their hair. Wash days planned around the week. Silk pillowcases. Bonnets. Oils and leave ins. Blowouts treated like they are precious. Silk presses, braids, locs, and twists looked after with care.
The whole routine is built on one quiet belief: what touches your hair matters.

You protect your hair everywhere except the part you wear all day.
You think about your hair at night. You think about it on wash day. You think about it before somewhere that matters.
But the hood never gets questioned, because it was never sold as a beauty product. It just sits there, around your hair, your hairline, your nape, and the sides of your face, for hours, made from the same rough fabric it has used for decades.
The hood is the part that actually touches your hair.
Of everything in a hoodie, the hood is the piece that matters most for your hair. It rests against your curls. It presses on your nape. It frames your face and hairline every time you pull it up.
Silk had already found its way onto pillowcases, bonnets, and wraps. It had never found its way into the one layer you actually wear out in the world.
The friction was the small problem. The fact that no one had designed around it was the real one.
So I built the hoodie that should have existed already.
Not a bonnet with a drawstring. Not a haircare gadget. Not something that looks like it belongs on a nightstand.
A premium hoodie, first. Heavyweight and warm on the outside. Lined with real mulberry silk on the inside of the hood, where ordinary hoodies feel roughest against your hair.
Made to be worn for real life: the commute, the coffee run, the couch, the cold walk, while still looking like something you chose, not something you settled for.

Premium where it shows. Considered where it counts.

Made for you if...
From the founder
A note from me.
I built zwilky because I could not stop thinking about the gap.
I knew what hoodie friction could do to my own curls. But the more I listened, the more I understood that women were dealing with a bigger version of the same overlooked problem, with more time invested, more money spent, and more emotion attached to the outcome.
You already protect your hair in so many ways. You have already done the work.
zwilky was not built to replace your routine. It was built to respect it.
Thank you for being here. If you have ever felt like your clothes were working against your hair, zwilky was made with you in mind.
Meet the hoodie that respects the routine.
Premium on the outside. Real mulberry silk where it touches your hair.
